Handing Over Of Command Of The European Gendarmerie Force
Colonel Giovanni Truglio (Italian Carabinieri) replaces Brigadier General Gérard Deanaz (French National Gendarmerie)
On June, 26, a formal ceremony was held in Vicenza at the “G. Chinotto” barracks, seat of the EGF Permanent Headquarters. At the presence of civilian and military authorities of CIMIN and its Presidency, as well as of representatives of the EGF participating Countries, Brigadier General Gérard Deanaz (French National Gendarmerie), first EGF Commander, was replaced by Colonel Giovanni Truglio (Italian Carabinieri) who, appointed by the High Level Interdepartmental Committee, will cover the position and direct the Permanent Headquarters until 2009.
