EUROGENDFOR participates in the military parade for the Italian Republic Day

On June 2nd, 2011, the European Gendarmerie Force participated with a Multinational Coy consisting of 54 police officers coming from all the EUROGENDFOR countries, including partner and observer ones, in the traditional military parade taking place in Rome on the occasion of the Italian Republic Day.

This year the parade, beside its traditional meaning, was also one of the most important events organized for the 150th Anniversary of the Unification of Italy. The EUROGENDFOR formation, positioned in the sector gathering landing, aerial and stabilization forces, paraded in Via dei Fori Imperiali preceded by the EUROGENDFOR flag and rendered military honours to the highest Italian political and military authorities, as well as to the 42 heads of State and UN Secretary Ban ki-Moon attending the ceremony.
